Boaz Mauda was born in April 23, 1987. an Israeli singer and songwriter.

In 2007 Boaz Mauda auditioned for the fifth season of Kohav Nolad. He tried out with no prior experience- succeeded the audition and joined the Kohav Nolad team.

Throughout the season Mauda's performances included a large variety of Israeli music styles- such as; "Kol Gal Gal" by Shotey Ha nevua, "Neshel Ha Nahash" by Meir Ariel, "Homot Haymar" by Margalit Tzan'ani, "Yalduti Hashnya" by Matti Casspi and "Etzlech Ba Olam" by Meir Banai.       

Mauda made it to the finals of Kohav Nolad on August 29th 2007- He competed against Marina Maximilian Blumin and Shlomi Barel. The finals took place at the Golan seashore in the Kinneret. Mauda came in first place with the song "Senyorita, with the collaboration of David Broza and four guitarists. Later reached first place with the song "Menagen ve Shar" (Lyrics Moshe Ben-Shauel) by Avner Gadassy- 50% of the voters and judges chose him. (over 900,000 votes).  

 

Mauda was chosen to represent Israel in the Eurovision 2008, with the song "Keilou Kan" by Dana International and Shay Kerem. Mauda climbed up to the finals that evening and came in ninth place. The same year Mauda came in second place at the Children's Festival with the song "Cowboy Kid".

His first single came out August 2008, with the song "Orech Ba Olam" , written and composed by Keren Peles. 

In March 2009, he released another single "Lahazor Ha byta", the same year he recorded the song "Zman Tfyla" with the singer Siranush Harutyunyan who represented Armenia in the 2008 Eurovision- came in forth place. He also collaborated with Yalena who represented Serbia that year and came in sixth place.        

Mauda recorded another song (words Beri Oren, composer Guy Bokatti) the following year that was dedicated to loss of IDF warriors that were killed throughout Israeli wars.  

July 2009, was the release of Mauda's fist album.Tomer Biran produced the album and Barak Feldman, Yoni Bloch and Itay Pearl- took part of the writing. The album included four singles. Ohad Hitman composed another single based on "Shir Ha Shirim". Later that year "Shetishar" came out- written and composed by Mauda. Gilad Segev and Mauda wrote the words to the song "Shaar Libech"  

During the same year Mauda was casted as Mush in the drama series Danny Hollywood. In August 2009 he began his cross-country tour throughout Israel.  

. 2011 Mauda recorded a new version to Gidon Kefen's song "Yeled Ha Sadea" for the TV series "Alifim". 

July 2011, he came out with a new single "Shniya ve Od Ahat", by Natan Goshen. The single will be apart of his upcoming second album.
