Born to Dance

In “Born to Dance”, contestants competed for the title “Israel’s top dancer”. In each episode, contestants were paired into couples. Each couple randomly drew a dance style that they had to perform to the best of their ability in front of the studio audience and four judges. At the end of each episode, the judges selected the best performing pairs and granted them immunity. The remaining pairs perform a solo dance, and they are up for removal by the home audience. The dancer with the lowest number of votes is sent home. 

The show was very successful. 

Its first season aired in 2005. “Born to Dance” introduced actresses Rona Lee Shimon and Dana Frieder, in the first and second season. After the third season, we put the original format on hiatus and created a new dance show: “War of the Worlds”. Due to the war in Gaza in 2009, we changed the name to “Don’t Stop Dancing”.
